Searching for protections and rights of public health and medical care, the Fielding School of Public Health at UCLA recently reviewed constitutions of 191 countries. 73 countries guaranteed the right to medical care. Only 27 guaranteed rights to public health.  The United States was one of 86 countries not guaranteeing any health protection. Lead author Heymann reports a trend to more protection of health rights.
