COMMUNITY HEALTH NEEDS: COOPERATION & MOBILIZATION

The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) carries three papers about ways to change health care to meet needs in communities. Donald Berwick compares the three approaches in an editorial "Reshaping US Health Care From Competition and Confiscation to Cooperation and Mobilization" published in JAMA on 11-26-14. He notes that no community has come close to needed improvements in health, health care, and costs. Patient's simple stories need connecting.
