SMALL DOCTOR GROUPS AVOID PREVENTABLE HOSPITAL STAYS

Nearly two-thirds of U.S. physician practices have less than seven doctors. In a survey of Medicare data, L.P. Casalino and his colleagues compared smaller practices with practices of 10-19 doctors. They found the smaller practices to be better at avoiding preventable hospital admissions. Their findings were published online in the August 2014 issue of Health Affairs. LEARN MORE
