When was the study enacted?

Governor Kitzhaber signed HB 3260 into law August 1, 2013.

Who will conduct the study?

The bill requires the Oregon Health Authority to select a third party to conduct the study. The selection will begin when fundraising is complete, February 2014.

Who will pay for the study?

The legislature allotted no funds. Private funding is essential.

How much will the study cost?

The estimated cost is $200,000.

Who will collect the private contributions?

The Northwest Health Foundation is the fiscal agent to whom all donations should be directed.

When will results be presented to the legislature?

The study will take approximately 18 months. The completed study will be presented to the 2015 session of the Oregon Legislature.
